Teaching Assistant Program in France
This program is coordinated by the French Embassy in Washington, D.C., and offers 1,500 positions for English speakers with a demonstrated knowledge of French, to teach in France and its overseas departments, and/or assist French teachers with English classes for a period of 6 to 9 months. The positions are offered in primaires, collèges, and lycées (middle to high school levels) and are an excellent opportunity for graduating seniors with interest and/or experience in education and prior experience abroad. It is open to any US citizens or permanent residents under 29 years of age with a demonstrated knowledge of French (not just majors or minors). The Department of Romance Language does not administer the program, but does offer information and advice on the application process and the program itself, to the best of our knowledge.
If you are a senior and if you are interested in applying, please read and fill the application from the website: http://highereducation.frenchculture.org/teach-in-france
